Shaniwarwada Fort, Pune

It is said that on Full Moon nights this place is very much haunted and people often hear the scream "KAKA MALA VACHWA" (uncle save me).  According to an old story, this fort is haunted by the ghost of a prince who was brutally assassinated when he was 13 year old by one of his relative. His ghost can be heard shrieking in the middle of the night.  The story goes like this  " After Baji Rao I's death, his son Balaji Baji Rao (NanaSaheb) held Maratha banner. Madhavrao, Vishwasrao and Narayanrao were the three sons of Peshwa Nanashaheb. After the death of Pesha Nanashaheb in the third battle of Panipath, Madhavrao succeeded as Peshwa. A man had committed suicide in one of the buildings of Vrindavan Society , Building 66B to be specific. The person who jumped off his balcony was an elderly person. Nobody knows exactly why he committed suicide as there was no suicide note left behind, but ever since his death, residents of the building have started experiencing paranormal activities in the complex. The security guards patrolling the area have encountered strange happenings since then. They have been slapped hard on their face when alone and have been spooked by ghostly whispers during their patrol at night. 

D`Souza Chawl, Mumbai

A well in the D`souza Chawl area of Mumbai, Mahim has acquired the reputation of being haunted.   It is said that a woman, while getting water, fell to her death in the well. Many people claim to have seen the ghostly apparition of this unfortunate lady who wanders around the well, late in the night and disappears before the dawn.
